About 20 governors and officials were disciplined

20971The Cabinet of Ministers has issued a decree holding accountable officials who demonstrated poor performance in preparing for the winter season, ensuring the uninterrupted supply of fuel and energy resources, and implementing conservation measures. This announcement was made by the Prime Minister's press secretary, Bekzod Hidoyatov.
According to the decree, disciplinary measures have been imposed on several regional leaders. A "haifsan" (reprimand) was issued to the governors of Okoltin, Mirzaobod, Bostanliq, Bekobod, Zangiota, Tashkent, Yangiyul, and Furqat districts, as well as the governor of Kokand city. The governors of Bogdod, Beshariq, and Sokh districts were also reprimanded. The officials were cited for failing to meet established plans for conserving electricity and natural gas, exceeding usage limits, and neglecting proper oversight.
Additionally, several other officials were disciplined for their failure to prevent the theft of electricity and natural gas. These included the Minister of Water Resources of Karakalpakstan, the deputy governors of Andijan, Namangan, and Tashkent regions responsible for youth policy and social development, and the governors of Andijan and Beruni districts.
E. Yakubov, the Deputy General Director of Uzbekkomir JSC, was issued a final warning for repeated delays in coal distribution, the provision of substandard coal to the population, and inadequate oversight of these processes.
The decree further instructs the relevant ministries and departments to evaluate the activities of sector leaders in the specified cities and districts, take appropriate action against them, and submit a report on the results to the Cabinet of Ministers within one day.
