A criminal case was initiated against a woman who forced a 16-year-old girl into prostitution

A criminal case was initiated against a woman who forced a 16-year-old girl into prostitution in Karshi district of Kashkadarya region. This was reported by the Children's Ombudsman.

It was reported that the children's ombudsman's secretariat received an appeal from a girl born in 2008 living in Pastdargom district of Samarkand region through NGO "Istiqbolli Avlod".

According to the girl, she left the house because of the pressure at home and the fact that her relatives did not understand her. Then an acquaintance took him to an apartment in Karshi district of Kashkadarya region. The owner of this house forced the girl into prostitution, but she managed to escape after a certain time and asked for help.

"On the basis of the request of the children's ombudsman, the DIA of the Kashkadarya region conducted an investigation into this situation," the report says.

As a result of the investigation, on March 5 of this year, a criminal case was initiated against the woman based on Part 4 of Article 131 of the Criminal Code (collusion or keeping a brothel), and the preliminary investigation is currently underway.

We remind you that on February 27, a woman was arrested for setting up a brothel in a maternity hospital in Shofirkon district of Bukhara region. A criminal case was initiated against him under part 2 of Article 131 of the Criminal Code.
