A 13-year-old Uzbek chess player won the international tournament

Humoyun Bekmurodov, a young chess player from Uzbekistan, participated in the online tournament "Titled Tuesday" organized on the chess.com website and won 3rd place.

576 chess players took part in the competition.  The 1st place in the tournament went to the famous American grandmaster Hikaru Nakamura.  Another USA representative, Fabiano Caruana, won the silver medal in the tournament.

For information, Humoyon Bekmurodov has been participating in FIDE classification competitions since 2017.  In April 2019, he won 2 gold medals in the classic and blitz disciplines at the Asian Championship held in Sri Lanka.  Bekmurodov won the FIDE mastership in 2022.

It should be recalled on 29 January, the international tournament "Tata Steel Chess-2023" came to an end.  Chess players from Uzbekistan took part in the prestigious competition and took a place among the winners.
