Currently taking place in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, the "Prague Chess Festival 2024" is witnessing intense competition. In the third round, Nodirbek Abdusattorov from Uzbekistan faced off against local chess player David Navara.

After a thrilling match, Abdusattorov emerged victorious, securing his position in the top 8 of the International Chess Federation's (FIDE) online rankings at just 19 years old.

It's noteworthy that Nodirbek recently made history as the first Uzbek chess player to break into the FIDE top ten. He was ranked 15th as of February 1 and has since climbed seven spots in just one month.

Looking ahead, Abdusattarov will face Indian player Gukesh Domaraju in the fourth round of the Prague tournament.
