A new billing system for calculating electricity will be launched
A new billing system for calculating electricity will be introduced in Uzbekistan. Initially launched as a test in the Yakkasaroy district of Tashkent, this system will be expanded to the regions of the country starting August 1.
Unlike the current system, which only includes the subscriber's name, surname, passport information, and account number, the new system will also include cadastral information and the number of accounts held by one individual. Additionally, a mobile application has been developed to allow consumers to monitor daily electricity consumption and file complaints if necessary.
The land in the master plan area will be auctioned
From August 1, 2024, until the end of the year, land plots within designated master plan areas will be auctioned. These lands are intended for the establishment of service complexes and facilities, including accommodation, shopping, and entertainment centers.
Vehicle numbers are randomly selected
Registration license plates will be issued automatically by random selection through the "State License Plate Signs" module in the Unified Automated Information System of the Traffic Safety Department. Currently, license plates are issued in ascending numerical order, except for auctioned plates that feature specific combinations of letters and numbers.
In seismically active zones, high-rise buildings are built with seismic protection
It has been decided to digitize regional accelerograms and create online databases for all districts and cities in Uzbekistan. Starting August 1, a new procedure will be introduced for designing and constructing buildings with a risk factor of III-IV class, based on regional accelerogram data that indicate earthquake strength in the area.
Futsal fans are given discounts on trains
From August to October 2024, a 50 percent discount on railway tickets will be available for accredited individuals, as well as foreign and domestic fans who have tickets for the Futsal World Cup matches.
