62982Yesterday, on August 3, a video circulated on social networks showing the former director of the 28th school in Sariosia district of Surkhondarya region quarreling with the governor of the region, Ulug'bek Kasimov. After the scandal, the female teacher was arrested by the authorities, and a re-examination of her time as the director of the school began.
The Minister of Preschool and School Education, Hilola Umarova, also reacted to this situation, informing that the teacher T.U. had been released from administrative imprisonment and that the situation was under her personal control.
According to the press secretary of the ministry, on August 3, the minister talked to the teacher by phone and asked how he was doing.
From the video, it can be seen that the female teacher said she had been in prison for 7 days and was having difficulty regaining consciousness.
"Don't worry at all. Everything is under control. It is important that you stay healthy," says Minister Umarova.
The minister also called on the governors to focus on improving the conditions in schools without interfering with the work of pedagogues.
We remind you that in the video released yesterday, the governor of the region, Ulugbek Kasimov, confronted the former director and accused him of "disturbing the atmosphere in the school" and "shaming the region to the whole world." In response, the former director T.U. rejected the accusations against him and objected, saying "if you have a gun, shoot."
According to information, the real roots of this conflict go back to the events of 2021. At that time, a group of teachers from the 28th school in the Sariosia district met with the school director T.U. and sent appeals to the leadership of the republic, stating that she had attacked teachers, shortened their teaching hours, and fired qualified personnel. The teachers invited one of the local internet publications to the school and asked them to study the situation. T.U. kicked out the journalists who went to the school and broke their cameras.
After this situation caused wide discussions among the public, T.U. was officially approached regarding her job duties, as she had violated executive discipline and rules of etiquette in dealing with appeals from citizens and legal entities, and was subsequently punished. On December 10, 2021, she was fired. However, on February 10, 2022, it was concluded that her dismissal was illegal, and she was reassigned to the school directorship. Mayor Ulugbek Kasimov may have been referring to these events when he said, "you have brought shame to the whole world" in the video.
