Military personnel serving in the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan and employees of law enforcement agencies are prohibited from engaging in entrepreneurial activities. The Ministry of Justice reported this.

It is noted that the law signed by the President on November 29 of this year introduced amendments and additions to certain laws.

According to it, the combat readiness and efficiency of the Armed Forces and law enforcement agencies will be further increased. In particular, the law introduces amendments and additions that provide for the establishment of restrictions on service in the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan and law enforcement agencies.

In particular, military personnel and employees of law enforcement agencies are prohibited from engaging in entrepreneurial activities, from receiving any rewards, benefits, or gifts from individuals and legal entities in exchange for performing or not performing their official duties in the interests of individuals and legal entities, and from using benefits, preferences or advantages not provided for by law in connection with their official position.

The law will enter into force one month after the date of its official publication.

We recall that earlier, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced at a meeting of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis that attention would be further increased to increasing the combat and moral potential of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan.
