Single-building relocation plan for government offices announced in Uzbekistan

On March 19, during President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's meeting with small and medium business representatives, it was announced that all government agencies in 15 districts and cities of Uzbekistan will relocate to a single multi-story building in the district centers. This initiative was confirmed by a Presidential Decree issued on the same day.

In these districts and cities, 150 buildings currently occupied by government agencies will be vacated and offered at auction to entrepreneurs.

It was clarified that, in these districts and cities, entrepreneurial entities will be accommodated in the vacated buildings of local government agencies, with the exception of law enforcement agencies, organizations specializing in utility services, and healthcare facilities.

Additionally, it was stated that in 2025, adjustments and additions to the list of districts and cities where the program to allocate vacated buildings to entrepreneurial entities will be implemented may be made. These changes will be proposed by the Ministry of Economy and Finance and approved by a decision of the Cabinet of Ministers.
