Today, March 29, 10 Uzbek children left without parental care were repatriated from Almaty, Kazakhstan. The National Agency for Social Protection reported this development.

Uzbekistan’s consular officers in Kazakhstan processed all necessary documents to ensure the children's swift and safe return to their homeland.

Upon arrival in Uzbekistan, the children were temporarily placed at the Center for Social and Legal Assistance to Minors under the Tashkent City Department of Internal Affairs.

“In the coming days, eight of the children will travel to the Republic of Karakalpakstan, where they will be placed with family members and close relatives identified through the 'Inson' social service centers,” the agency stated.

For reference, the number of children repatriated to Uzbekistan from abroad in the past three months has reached 31—2.5 times more than in the same period last year.

Earlier, 11 Uzbek minors left without parental care in Russia were also returned to the country.
