Father kills his son in Fergana following quarrel over car accident

A father killed his son  following a heated argument over a car accident in the Fergana region. The incident was reported by the press service of the Supreme Court.  

According to the case details, the victim had rented a car from another person but later used it as collateral to secure a $2,700 loan. His father paid off the loan and returned the vehicle to its rightful owner.  

However, the son repeated the same actions, again renting a car and using it to secure another loan. When he was left without a vehicle, he demanded to use his father’s rented Lacetti car. This led to a quarrel between them.  

The argument continued when the father went to his wife’s rented house. The son followed him, insulting his father and insisting he be given the car. When the father refused, the son threatened to take it by force.

The situation escalated when the father led his son into a children’s room and attacked him, striking his head multiple times with an iron object. As the son fell unconscious, the father continued the assault, beating him with a sewing machine and throwing a fan at his head. The victim suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.  

The Margilan City Criminal Court found the father guilty under Part 1 of Article 97 (Murder) of the Criminal Code and sentenced him to 10 years in prison.  

It should be noted that earlier, in the Andijan region, another tragic incident occurred where a father beat his daughter to death after she took food from a buffet without permission.
