More than 70 park attractions in Uzbekistan were discovered to be fake, lacking proper documentation such as manufacturer passports and tags. This was reported by Bekzod Berdiyev, Head of the Information Service of the Committee for Industry, Radiation and Nuclear Safety, during a briefing on January 25 at IMCA.
As part of ongoing activities, violations of industrial, radiation, and nuclear safety regulations were identified, and 1,843 recommendation letters were issued to address these violations.
A total of 2,120 attractions, installed in 148 cultural and recreational parks across the republic, were reviewed. Of these, 74 were homemade (lacking a manufacturer's passport and tag), 228 were defective, inoperable, or discontinued, and 1,100 were properly registered.
Additionally, in 2024, 44 accidents occurred at controlled enterprises and organizations, 19 of which resulted in fatalities.
It is worth recalling that in July 2024, four people were injured due to a defective attraction in Namangan.
