The Uzbekistan delegation has secured four quotas for the Milan–Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games, according to the press service of the National Olympic Committee.

Following the completion of the qualification cycle, Dmitry Chigirev and Ekaterina Geinish earned an Olympic berth in pair figure skating, Medet Nazarov qualified in alpine skiing (slalom and giant slalom), and Daniil Eybog secured qualification in short track speed skating over the 500-meter distance. However, during preparations for the Games, Dmitry Chigirev sustained an injury and was unable to recover in time. As a result, Uzbekistan will compete only in the alpine skiing and short track events.

For reference, the upcoming Winter Olympic Games will be held from February 6 to 22, 2026, in the Italian cities of Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo.

It is worth noting that earlier, Uzbekistan national team head coach Fabio Cannavaro took part in the torch relay for the Milan–Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games held across Italy.
