Uzbekistan sends humanitarian aid to flood-affected areas of Afghanistan

7730On 2 June, a ceremony was held in the Kaldar district of Balkh Province of Afghanistan to hand over humanitarian aid delivered by Uzbekistan earlier. This is reported by Information Agency “Dunyo” (World).
According to the report of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the participants of the ceremony expressed deep gratitude to the leadership of Uzbekistan and stressed the timeliness of humanitarian assistance.
Head of the district M.Wali noted that humanitarian aid of Uzbekistan plays an important role in ensuring the well-being of residents of northern regions of Afghanistan, especially in the Balkh district.
It is noted that food packages consisting of flour, vegetable oil, wheat, rice, pasta, canned food, and other products, as well as clothing, will also be sent to Kunduz Samangan, Tahor, and Juzjan provinces, which suffered a strong flood a month ago.
It should be reminded that Uzbekistan last sent humanitarian aid to Afghanistan on 30 April this year. ra Before that, in December and September last year, humanitarian aid was delivered to the Afghan people.
