17313A disturbing incident from School No. 188 in the Chilanzar district of Tashkent, where a teacher brutally beat a student, has gone viral on social media. The Department of Preschool and School Education of Tashkent has responded to the situation.
The incident occurred on September 23, 2024, around 3:00 p.m., during a Russian language lesson in the 6th "V" class.
Teacher R.O. reportedly got into an altercation with student E.G. Following this, the teacher grabbed the student by the ear, dragged him from his seat, and slapped him. The video footage shows R.O. using inappropriate language, pinning the student against the blackboard, choking him, and hitting him several times.
The student’s parents, outraged by the teacher’s actions, reported the incident to law enforcement. Fortunately, the student was not physically injured and is currently in good health.
"The administration clarified that R.O. had been hired on a probationary basis, and no official employment order had yet been issued for him at School No. 188. Shockingly, the violent incident took place on his first day of work," the report states.
An investigation is currently underway to address the situation.
This incident follows another recent case in Khorezm, where a teacher was reported to have beaten two students during a lesson.
