Huawei employees’ running event mistaken for rally in Tashkent  

On February 15, reports circulated on social media about Chinese citizens allegedly holding a "rally" with banners in the National Park of the Chilonzor district in Tashkent. Shohrukh Giyasov, the press secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, clarified the situation.  

According to the statement, Huawei employees were actually participating in their regular running event on Saturday and Sunday. The banners displayed Chinese inscriptions promoting health, stating: "Sport is the guarantee of health, you too run and be healthy."  

The Ministry emphasized that this was merely a sporting event, noting, "We recognize that this is an event that our departments and organizations should follow."
