Tashkent school stadium collapses amid quality concerns (video)

In social networks, reports spread that the football field equipment on the territory of school No. 324 in the Karatash neighborhood of Tashkent city had collapsed. The capital's administration responded to this situation.

It was reported that initially, adverse weather conditions, such as snowfall on February 26-27 of this year, were cited as the cause of the collapse of the sports field. However, according to a preliminary technical inspection, although the weather factor aggravated the situation, the main reason is related to the poor quality of construction work and the use of materials that do not meet the established requirements.

It is noted that currently, compliance with project standards is being thoroughly checked, and a detailed analysis of the contractor's work is underway. Based on the results of the inspection, appropriate measures will be taken against the responsible persons. Additional information will be provided on the progress of further work and the results of the inspection.

It should be recalled that earlier, a stadium worth 1.1 billion soums, built as part of the "Open Budget" project in the Bakhmal district of the Jizzakh region, collapsed less than a month after it was put into operation.
