Case of former Minister Aziz Voitov was brought to court

The case involving former Minister of Agriculture Aziz Voitov has been brought before the court, as reported on the Supreme Court's official portal.
It is reported that the former minister has been charged under Article 167 (Embezzlement or misappropriation through fraud), Part 3, Clause a, Clause v, Article 205 (Abuse of power or official authority), Part 2, and Article 209 (Professional fraud), Part 2, Clause a) of the Criminal Code.
It has been noted that Voitov's case will be heard on August 15 at the Mirabad District Court for Criminal Cases.
For reference, Aziz Voitov was born in 1980 in Tashkent. He holds a higher education degree, having graduated from the Tashkent Financial Institute and the Higher School of Business under the Academy of State and Social Construction under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
During his career, he held various positions in the National Bank for Foreign Economic Activity of the Republic of Uzbekistan (2000-2017). From 2017 to 2020, he served as the acting Chairman of the Board of ADB "Uzsanoatkurilishbank." He headed the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan from 2022 to 2023.
It should be recalled that Aziz Voitov was arrested in December of last year under the provisions of Article 221 (Grounds for detention) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
