By court decision, the Sevimli TV channel has been fined in accordance with Article 177¹ of the Code of Administrative Responsibility (Violation of Copyright and Related Rights). This was reported by the Ministry of Justice.

It was revealed that musical works belonging to the author R. Khudoyberdiev were used in several telenovelas broadcast by Sevimli without permission and without the conclusion of an appropriate contract. The content was made available to the public through the Splay and YouTube platforms.

In connection with the case, a report on an administrative offense was drawn up under Article 177¹ of the Code of Administrative Responsibility and sent to the relevant court.

According to the decision of the Mirabad District Court of Tashkent on criminal cases, a fine was imposed under Part 1 of Article 177¹ of the Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Administrative Responsibility.

According to current legislation, the author has the right to demand compensation from the offender in an amount ranging from 20 to 1,000 times the base calculation amount instead of direct damages.

It should be noted that earlier this year, singers Botir Kadirov and Sardor Mamadaliyev, composer Shahboz Nosirjonov, and blogger Murodjon Yuldoshev were also fined for copyright violations.
