Earlier, it was reported that following the Uzbekistan Super League match between Dinamo Samarkand and Nasaf Karshi, Sarvar Bobonazarov, a press officer affiliated with Nasaf, made insulting remarks about Samarkand fans. Nasaf Football Club has now issued an official response to the incident.

It was clarified that Sarvar Bobonazarov, who was on leave at the time, did not take part in the match either directly or indirectly and was not performing his official duties. Nevertheless, he used inappropriate language in a post on his X (formerly Twitter) account targeting fans of both Andijan and Dinamo in connection with the match.

According to the club, Bobonazarov’s statements do not reflect the position of Nasaf Football Club. The club stated that it strongly condemns any form of insult or discrimination. A critical meeting was held concerning the situation, explanatory work was conducted, and the employment contract with Sarvar Bobonazarov was terminated for gross violation of the club’s code of conduct.

"Nasaf Football Club has always maintained deep respect and a friendly attitude toward all Uzbek clubs, including representatives and fans of the Samarkand and Andijan teams, and will continue to strictly adhere to this principle. We apologize to the public for the inconvenience caused," the club said in its statement.
