On July 6, one of the key matches of the 15th round of the Uzbekistan Super League took place in Samarkand between Dinamo and Karshi’s Nasaf, two clubs representing regional pride. The match ended in a 2-2 draw, but controversy erupted off the pitch due to the actions of a Nasaf official.
During and after the match, Sarvar Oktamzoda—who identified himself on social media as the press officer of Nasaf—posted insulting remarks about the Dinamo club and the people of Samarkand on the social media platform X. His comments have since drawn widespread criticism and sparked heated debate across various online platforms and football fan communities.
In response, the press service of Dinamo PFC issued a strong statement condemning the behavior and formally requesting an explanation from Nasaf PFC. According to the statement, Oktamzoda’s derogatory remarks targeted not only the host club but also the entire population of the Samarkand region, allegedly due to the absence of VAR equipment during the match.

“Dinamo PFC is requesting an official explanation from Nasaf PFC regarding the insulting comments made on social networks by Sarvar Bobonazarov (also known as Sarvar Oktamzoda), the press officer of the Nasaf team and speaker of the Central Stadium in Karshi,” the club said. “These statements incite hostility and tension among fans. We demand firm measures be taken regarding this matter.”
Dinamo’s press office also confirmed that it is preparing to file an official complaint with the relevant authorities.
“It is important to remember that such actions can damage inter-club relations and provoke undesirable consequences among fans,” the statement added.
It is worth noting that under Article 41 of the Administrative Responsibility Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, public insults—defined as intentional actions aimed at degrading a person’s honor and dignity—are punishable by a fine ranging from twenty to forty times the base calculation amount, equivalent to between 7.5 million and 15 million soums.
For context, after this match, Dinamo holds second place in the league standings with 29 points, while Nasaf leads the table with 33 points.
