Drug dealer selling 1 kg for $10,000 detained in Samarkand

A man attempting to sell one kilogram of drugs for $10,000 was detained in the Samarkand region. This was reported by the regional Department of Internal Affairs.
According to the report, the suspect, a resident of the Urgut district, had previously sold one gram of drugs to acquaintances for 130,000 soums.
On June 18 of this year, during an operation in the Galaosiyo neighborhood of Samarkand city, a man born in 1984 and living in the Urgut district, along with his acquaintance, attempted to sell one kilogram of drugs to a citizen posing as a potential buyer. At that moment, both individuals were detained with material evidence.
A criminal case has been initiated under Part 5 of Article 273 of the Criminal Code (illegal preparation, acquisition, storage, or other actions involving narcotic drugs, their analogues, or psychotropic substances with the intent to sell, as well as their illegal distribution). Both suspects have been placed in pre-trial detention as a preventive measure.
It should be noted that earlier, individuals attempting to sell hashish and other psychotropic substances were detained in the Andijan and Tashkent regions.
