Saidov delivers Mirziyoyev’s greetings to Kyrgyz President Japarov

Today, July 31, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, met with the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov. Saidov shared details of the meeting on his official Telegram channel.
“We are pleased to convey the sincere greetings of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov,” the Foreign Minister stated.
It was noted that the agenda of the meeting was broad and encompassed all areas of bilateral cooperation.
“Our joint projects, spanning sectors from infrastructure to humanitarian initiatives, serve not only the interests of our two nations but also contribute to the development of the entire region and beyond,” said Saidov.
For reference, on July 30, Bakhtiyor Saidov also held a meeting with Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubayev. During their talks, a joint action plan was signed for preparations related to the upcoming state visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Kyrgyzstan. In addition, a cooperation program between the two countries’ foreign ministries for 2025–2026 was agreed upon.
It is worth recalling that on July 17, Saidov also paid a visit to Kabul, where he held meetings with the Taliban’s Acting Foreign Minister Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi and Acting Interior Minister Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani. On the same day, the first trilateral meeting of the foreign ministers of Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, and Pakistan was held in Kabul. During this session, a trilateral agreement was signed by the Afghan Ministry of Public Works, Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Transport, and Pakistan’s Ministry of Railways to develop the technical and economic framework of the Trans-Afghan Railway project. Saidov also met with Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund, the Taliban’s acting prime minister, during his visit to Kabul.
