Today, March 19, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan planted a sapling in the Youth Garden being established in Tashkent city's Sergeli district. This information was relayed by the President's press service.

During his visit, the President was briefed on the garden's development, spanning over 75 hectares, making it the second-largest park in the capital after "New Uzbekistan."

The garden is segmented into seven distinct zones. The central avenue will host various squares, a thousand-seat open amphitheater, as well as national and international culinary areas.

Separate zones will cater to outdoor dining and recreational activities. The plan includes musical fountains, an open-air cinema, art exhibitions, and opportunities for laser shows. Additionally, children will have access to sports facilities, playgrounds, fairy-tale villages, a workshop, and a library. Other attractions include an artificial lake, canoeing and swimming pools, and fishing facilities for visitors.

On March 19, community members of Tashkent city, along with representatives from governmental bodies, diplomatic missions, and young individuals, participated in the planting of saplings within the garden.

The President engaged with investors, designers, and foreign diplomats involved in the garden's development, expressing admiration for the project's contribution to city beautification and heritage preservation.

"Our ancestors cultivated greenery wherever they went. Amir Temur adorned Samarkand and other cities with splendid gardens. We carry on their legacy," remarked Shavkat Mirziyoyev during his interaction with citizens at the garden, extending Nowruz greetings.

The initial phase involves planting over a thousand ornamental trees such as chestnut, oak, eastern sycamore, red bud, magnolia, and gujum, along with shrubs and flowers. The total number of greenery is expected to reach 20 thousand bushes upon project completion.

The initiative is expected to create more than 350 job opportunities upon the park's inauguration.
