Uzbekistan welcomes Belarus’ new diplomatic representative

1643Today, February 8, Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov received copies of credentials from the newly appointed Belarusian ambassador to Uzbekistan, Alexander Ogorodnikov. The minister shared this update on his Telegram channel.
First, the minister congratulated Ogorodnikov on his appointment as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Uzbekistan.
"We congratulate Mr. Alexander Ogorodnikov on his appointment as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Uzbekistan," Saidov wrote.
He also stated that he received copies of the ambassador's credentials and that they discussed future plans for cooperation.
"Today, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, we received copies of the ambassador's credentials and discussed the priority areas of our cooperation and our plans for the near future," Saidov wrote.
Additionally, the minister wished Ogorodnikov success in his new diplomatic mission to Uzbekistan.
For reference, Alexander Ogorodnikov was born in 1970. In 1993, he graduated from the Minsk Radio Engineering Institute with a degree in "Microelectronics and Semiconductor Devices." In 2007, he completed a master's degree in "Economy and National Economy Management" at the Belarusian State University of Economics.
It should be noted that on January 14, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko appointed Alexander Ogorodnikov as the new ambassador to Uzbekistan. Lukashenko also advised the new ambassador to maintain the same diplomatic approach in Uzbekistan as in Kazakhstan.
