Investigative judge caught taking bribe in Khorezm

On July 2, an investigative judge was caught accepting a bribe in the Yangiarik district of Khorezm region. The incident was reported by the press service of the Supreme Court.

According to the report, the investigative judge of the Yangiarik District Criminal Court, identified as M.S., was apprehended during an operational raid conducted by law enforcement officers at the initiative of the Supreme Court. He was caught with material evidence while returning a portion of the money he had previously received in exchange for assistance in a criminal case involving citizen O.R., following a complaint by the applicant.

“The Supreme Court draws the attention of the general public to the fact that firm measures are being taken in the judicial bodies to combat corruption, and all necessary efforts are being made to cleanse the judicial system of corrupt personnel,” the official statement said.

It is worth noting that earlier, two employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in Khorezm were also caught after receiving money in exchange for promising jobs through personal connections.
