Earthquake in Kyrgyzstan felt across parts of Uzbekistan

An earthquake occurred in Kyrgyzstan at 06:20 Tashkent time on September 25, with tremors felt in several parts of Uzbekistan. This was reported by the Republican Center for Seismological Monitoring.

According to the center, the epicenter of the quake was located 246 kilometers southeast of Tashkent, in Batken, Kyrgyzstan. The earthquake had a magnitude of 4 and occurred at a depth of 5 kilometers, with coordinates 40.17° north latitude and 71.75° east longitude.

The tremors were felt in Uzbekistan with the following intensities:
– 2 points in the city of Kuvasay (23 km);
– 2–3 points in the Fergana district (14 km);
– 2 points in the city of Fergana (23 km).

It should be noted that a 3-point earthquake had previously occurred in Kyrgyzstan.
