Fergana workshop caught stealing 6 billion soums worth of gas

An enterprise in the city of Kokand, Fergana region, was found to have illegally used natural gas worth 6 billion soums. The Prosecutor General’s Office reported the incident.
According to the information, a mineral fertilizer production workshop belonging to “X.F.” LLC in Kokand was discovered to have been illegally connected to the natural gas network and was unlawfully consuming gas.
Preliminary expert findings revealed that the company illegally used 2.1 million cubic meters of natural gas, causing damages estimated at 6 billion soums.
Currently, pre-investigation checks are underway regarding this case.
For reference, earlier in June this year, it was reported that illegal use of energy resources caused damages amounting to 135.6 billion soums.
