A citizen residing in the Dangara district of the Fergana region was found to be cultivating 55,000 poppy plants and over 40 cannabis plants in his yard. This was reported by the regional Department of Internal Affairs.

As part of the “Qaradori-2025” operational measure, authorities inspected the home of the citizen and discovered a large number of poppy and cannabis plants being grown on the premises.

Additionally, more than 600 grams of dried cannabis—a narcotic drug—were found stored in the same individual’s barn.

In a separate case, a citizen born in 1992 and residing in the Tabassum neighborhood of Fergana city was found to be storing 10.96 kilograms of opium and 10 grams of hashish at his home for the purpose of selling.

It should be recalled that earlier, a person in the Samarkand region was detained while attempting to sell one kilogram of narcotic drugs for \$10,000.
