The administrative building of the State Assets Management Agency, located in Tashkent’s Mirzo Ulugbek district, was put up for sale on the E-auksion electronic trading platform on June 4 with a starting price of 165.5 billion soums.

According to available information, the property is located at 6 Amir Temur Avenue in Tashkent and consists of a nine-story building and adjacent facilities. Its total area is 11,008 square meters. The lot also includes a 0.67-hectare land plot, which will be provided on a lease basis rather than as permanent ownership.

Under the initial procedure, applications to participate in the auction closed at 9:00 a.m. on June 4, and the auction was scheduled to take place at 10:00 a.m. the same day. However, the auction was later declared invalid.

According to the lot terms, even if the building is sold, it will not be immediately handed over to the new owner. The property is to be vacated within three years, a process that may be linked to the gradual relocation of government agencies to new premises. The new owner will be able to use the building only after it is formally transferred.

The building has water supply, sewage and electricity, but no gas connection.

The documents also state that the buyer will not be allowed to change the building’s functional purpose. It may be used only for office and service activities in accordance with urban planning regulations.

Earlier, the international open bidding process for the sale of the state’s 100 percent stake in Universal Mobile Systems LLC, known as MobiUz, was successfully completed, and the company was officially sold. MobiUz was valued at $351 million.
