An explosion occurred in the building of the educational center in Bukhara

Today, on 4 January at approximately 00:52 a.m., a lightning strike occurred in the basement of a house located on the 50/3 street, “Olim Khojaev” neighborhood, Bukhara city, Bukhara region.  This was reported by the Emergency Situations Department of Bukhara region.

It is noted that lightning struck the basement of a building used as an educational center, as a result of which three doors in the basement were dislodged from their frames and the plastic coating on the 70Msq roof was damaged.  The concrete lining of the basement outside the building was also damaged.

No one was hurt or injured as a result of this accident.

“Currently, the causes of the flash are being determined,” the report said.

It should be recalled that on 24 December 2022, it was reported that a lightning strike occurred in a hospital in the city of Karshi, Kashkadarya region, and two citizens were injured and hospitalized as a result of the explosion.  Later it became known that one of the citizens died due to 80% burns.
