Bakhtiyor Saidov discusses strategic partnership with US Secretary of State

On February 21, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, had a phone call with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Saidov wrote about this on his Telegram channel.

“Today, we had a sincere and productive phone call with the US Secretary of State Marco Rubio,” Saidov wrote.

According to him, during the conversation, bilateral and multilateral issues were discussed, and an agreement was reached to expand the partnership between the two countries.

“We discussed important issues of bilateral and multilateral relations. We agreed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and the US Department of State will continue close cooperation to expand the strategic partnership between our countries in all areas,” the minister wrote.

Saidov also added that increasing the volume of trade turnover in both directions and other topics were among the main subjects of discussion.

“Building strong bridges between business circles, increasing trade in both directions and ensuring prosperous development in Central Asia and beyond have become a key part of our agenda,” he wrote.
