Explosion in mosque in Andijan (video)

On March 31, a gas explosion occurred in a mosque in the Izboskan district of Andijan region, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations.  

At 12:19, the Andijan regional emergency services received a report of an air-gas mixture explosion at the Ahmadali Khoji Mosque, located in the Mirzo Ulugbek neighborhood.  

Emergency services leadership and officials promptly arrived at the scene, and the situation is reportedly under full control.  

According to preliminary information, six people were injured in the explosion.  

Authorities stated that additional details will be provided as the situation develops.  

The regional administration reported that the explosion caused the collapse of the mosque’s ablution building. Regional governor Shukhratbek Abdurakhmanov and other officials arrived at the scene to oversee the response.  

It is worth noting that similar incidents have occurred recently. On March 12, a gas-air mixture ignited in a multi-story building in Kokand, Fergana region, causing a fire. On March 27, an explosion occurred in a five-story building in the Tashkent district of the Tashkent region due to accumulated natural gas igniting on the second floor.
