Drunk man beats 14-year-old boy in Andijan (video)

A video circulating on social media shows a man beating a young boy who had entered a pharmacy in Andijan. In response to an inquiry by QALAMPIR.UZ, the Representative of the Oliy Majlis for Children's Rights (Children's Ombudsman), Surayo Rakhmonova, provided information on the incident.

According to her, on July 26 of this year, a citizen identified as S.J., born in 1977 and residing in Andijan, entered a pharmacy while intoxicated. He initially attempted to speak with M.K., born in 2011, who was present in the pharmacy. He then insulted the boy and slapped him in the face.

The Andijan City Department of Internal Affairs has launched a pre-investigation into the case. A forensic medical examination has been commissioned to assess the injuries sustained by the minor. Legal proceedings against S.J. are currently underway.

It is worth noting that earlier in Andijan, a 17-year-old clothing store employee was beaten by two teenage boys after she refused to give them a shirt.
