Recent reports indicated that protests against immigration policies were taking place in Los Angeles, United States. Ahror Burkhanov, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, commented on the situation.

According to him, there is currently no officially confirmed information about the participation of citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan in these protests.

"At the same time, we urge all our compatriots in the U.S. to strictly observe the country's laws and regulations and to refrain from participating in any mass demonstrations that may disrupt public peace and security," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

The Ministry also stated that Uzbekistan’s diplomatic missions will continue to safeguard the rights and interests of its citizens abroad. If needed, citizens are encouraged to contact the embassy or the consulate general in the U.S.

As previously reported, protests erupted in Los Angeles following federal immigration enforcement operations. In response, 2,000 National Guard troops were deployed to the city. Protesters blocked several streets, leading to clashes with police. Law enforcement agencies used tear gas and stun grenades, while some residents responded with force.
