The Sanitary-Epidemiological Peace and Public Health Committee has urged the public to avoid consuming ice cream sold in unregulated areas, particularly bulk varieties produced using milling equipment.

According to the committee, ice cream may only be sold at stationary and mobile outlets designated by local authorities, in accordance with Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 407, which regulates the registration of legal entities and individuals involved in trade. Soft-serve (frozen) ice cream must be sold exclusively at permanent retail locations.

Officials warn that consuming ice cream from unauthorized vendors increases the risk of food poisoning and acute intestinal infections.

To protect public health, the committee emphasized the following precautions:

- Ice cream must be sold only if accompanied by documentation verifying its quality and safety. Packaged products must be stored at proper temperatures in refrigeration units.
- Consumers should carefully inspect ice cream packaging, shelf life, and storage conditions before purchase.
- Sellers are required to undergo medical examinations and wear appropriate sanitary clothing in accordance with Order No. 200 of the Ministry of Health.

Previously, it was reported that the consumption of a product sold under the name "Andijan Ice Cream" is considered extremely dangerous. According to the Tashkent City Sanitary and Epidemiological Department, there is no verified information on the product’s origin, production conditions, or ingredients. The packaging also lacks details on storage requirements and expiration dates, posing a serious threat to consumer safety.
