A 32-year-old woman has been detained in Navoi Region for attempting to send four women to Russia for the purpose of prostitution. The Interior Ministry reported this.
According to the information, the suspect, a resident of Pakhtachi District in Samarkand Region, identified women born in 1978, 1989, and 1994 who were experiencing difficult financial and social conditions. She gained their trust by claiming that there were job opportunities in Russia and promising to cover all travel expenses.
However, the suspect allegedly colluded with a Russian woman named Anya and planned to sell her fellow citizens for sexual exploitation, expecting to receive 400 rubles for each woman. As a result of law enforcement efforts, the women who had fallen victim to the deception were stopped at Tashkent International Airport. The suspect was detained with material evidence.
It was reported that a criminal case has been opened against her under Article 135, Part 2 of the Criminal Code (human trafficking), and investigative actions are currently underway.
It is worth noting that earlier, a 27-year-old woman was detained at Tashkent International Airport for attempting to take two citizens abroad for prostitution.
