Defender Abdukodir Khusanov of the Uzbekistan national team and Manchester City ranked second among the fastest players in the UEFA Champions League group stage. This was reported by the Sofascore portal.
According to the data, France national team forward Kylian Mbappe of Real Madrid topped the list with a recorded speed of 34.9 km/h. Abdukodir Khusanov followed closely in second place with a speed of 34.7 km/h.
The source noted that Khusanov achieved this result during the match between Manchester City and Galatasaray on January 28 this year. He played the full 90 minutes in that encounter.
It was also reported that during the current Champions League group stage, Khusanov featured in four matches and demonstrated disciplined performances throughout, without receiving a single booking. In addition, he completed passes with an average accuracy rate of 95 percent in those games.
It is worth noting that earlier Abdukodir Khusanov was named to the Asian Football Confederation’s Team of the Year for 2025, according to the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS).
