“Football field in every neighborhood” program to be launched in Uzbekistan

Starting October 1, 2025, Uzbekistan will launch the “Football Field in Every Neighborhood” program, aimed at constructing football fields in residential areas. The initiative is outlined in the Presidential Decree “On Measures to Further Increase the Digitalization and Popularization of the Football Industry in Uzbekistan,” signed on August 21.

Under the program:

•  Vacant state-owned land plots in neighborhoods will be offered at electronic online auctions on the condition that buyers build a football field and maintain its purpose for at least 10 years.
•  Auction winners will have the right to use and manage the remaining parts of the purchased land plots in accordance with the law.
•  If plots remain unsold for three months, their starting price will be gradually reduced by 10 percent, but no more than 50 percent overall. The plots may then be offered for sale with installment payment plans for up to three years.
•  It will be strictly prohibited to change the purpose of use or sell football stadiums and fields that are state-owned assets.

Earlier, it was announced that from March 1, 2026, tickets for football matches will be sold exclusively through a dedicated online platform incorporating personal identification and QR code technologies.
