Ziroat Mirziyoeva showed «Eternal City» to Emine Erdogan

First Lady Emina Erdogan, spouse of the President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, visited the «Eternal City» tourist center of Samarkand and got acquainted with Uzbek culture and traditions.  She was accompanied by the First Lady of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ziroat Mirziyoyeva and her youngest daughter Shahnoza Mirziyoyeva.

Accompanied by President Erdoğan on the trip to Uzbekistan, First Lady Erdoğan visited the «Eternal City», where the history and traditions are recorded and she became acquainted with architectural samples and works of art.

First Lady Erdoğan gave details about the trip on her social network page:

“My dear friend Ziroat Mirziyoyeva and I journeyed to Samarkand of the time of Amir Temur, an ancient city where history and traditions were revived.  Streets, markets, the people of the «Eternal City» fully reflect the spirit of the time.  We watched an exhibition banquet with an animation of a Sogdian wedding from the 6th century.  It is very valuable that traditions and customs are preserved and carried into the future.  I express my gratitude to the friendly and fraternal Uzbek people for warm hospitality”.

The first ladies visited Konigil village in Samarkand on the first day of their visit - 15 September.
