Jurabek Rahimov was appointed as Khorezm region governor

3406Jurabek Rahimov, who has been serving as the governor of Khorezm region, was officially reappointed to this role at the first session of the seventh convocation of the Regional Council of People's Deputies. The regional government’s press service reported his unanimous approval during the session.
The session also included a report from the chairman of the regional election commission, detailing the results of the October 27 elections. Altibay Begjanovich Rajabov, a deputy from the 14th Gozovot electoral district, was elected as the chairman of the Council of People's Deputies of Khorezm region. Additionally, the party groups of newly elected deputies were registered, and the Council’s Regulations along with the Regulation on permanent commissions were approved.
For reference, Jurabek Rahimov was born in 1981 in the Shavat district of Khorezm region. Before becoming the regional governor, he served as the mayor of Koshkopir district. In December 2022, he began acting as the governor of Khorezm and has officially held the position since March 2023.
It is also worth noting that Erkinjon Akbotayevich Turdimov, who previously held the position of governor of Samarkand region, was reapproved for the same role at the first session of the seventh convocation of Samarkand’s Regional Council of People's Deputies.
