It was revealed that the medical center in Jizzakh bought 29-year-old equipment

It was found that violations of the law were committed in the purchase of medical equipment by the multidisciplinary medical center in the Jizzakh region.  This was reported by the Anti-Corruption Agency.

According to the contract of 22 December 2021, this medical center is "E.M.S."  In 2021, a decision was made to purchase "Aesculap" surgical equipment manufactured in Germany from the Limited Liability Company for 245.2 million soms.

According to an invoice dated 28 December 2021, the supplier LLC issued a document stating that surgical equipment matching this model had been delivered to the medical center.

However, during the studies, it was found that the equipment mentioned in the contract does not actually exist, and instead of new medical equipment, old surgical equipment manufactured in Russia in 1994 was brought.  It was also discovered that they are in terrible condition and thus unable to be used.

Even though the responsible doctor and employees of the medical center appealed to their management that this medical equipment does not meet the requirements of sanitary regulations, no action was taken by the management.

The materials collected in connection with these cases were sent by the agency to the General Prosecutor's Office for a legal decision.

In connection with the above circumstances, a criminal case was initiated against the officials of the Multidisciplinary Medical Center of Jizzakh region under Article 167, Part 3, Clause "a" of the Criminal Code.  Investigations are currently underway.
