Illegal electricity use worth UZS 3.3 billion uncovered in Jizzakh

Cases of illegal electricity consumption have been uncovered in Jizzakh region, the Inspectorate for Control over the Use of Electricity, Petroleum Products and Gas reported.
According to the inspectorate, a monitoring operation conducted by the General Prosecutor’s Office in Sharof Rashidov district found that water pumps belonging to A.S.D. LLC had been illegally connected to the power grid, resulting in the unauthorized use of electricity worth UZS 315.5 million.
A similar violation was also identified at water pumps belonging to the A.S. farming enterprise in the same district. According to preliminary estimates, the damage caused in that case amounts to UZS 3.035 billion.
Earlier, authorities uncovered a company in Namangan region that had illegally consumed electricity worth UZS 11 billion.
