Earlier, it was reported that a group of girls in the Jizzakh region were seen walking the streets in bridal dresses, holding signs that read “I need a husband.” Those who organized and encouraged this act have now been penalized, according to a report by "Millar".
It was noted that eight girls participated in the stunt, which was intended as a promotional activity for a bridal dress salon. The event was organized by the salon’s manager and a blogger, who filmed the act as part of an advertising video.
The court found both the salon head and the blogger guilty of violating regulations and fined them 15 times the minimum monthly wage, amounting to 5.6 million soums.
However, the court ruling has not yet entered into legal force, and the defendants retain the right to appeal the decision.
It is worth noting that in 2023, Maryam Tillyayeva, the blogger granddaughter of Uzbekistan’s First President Islam Karimov, also made headlines by walking the streets holding a sign that read “I am looking for a husband.”
