Sadyr Japarov dismisses eight regional heads in one day

On March 31, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov carried out a sweeping кадровая reshuffle across four regions of the country. In a single day, eight district and city heads were dismissed and new officials were appointed in their place, according to 24.kg.
The largest number of changes was recorded in Jalal-Abad Region, where several district and city leaders were replaced. Changes were also made in Chuy, Batken and Naryn regions.
In Chuy Region, Niyazbek Kuziev was dismissed as head of Moskovsky District, and Ilyos Toshboyev was appointed as the new head.
In Jalal-Abad Region, Talantbek Odilov was removed as head of Bazar-Korgon District, and Oltynbek Bekturov was named as his successor.
Ruslan Aitboyev stepped down as head of Ala-Buka District at his own request, and Temirpulat Abikeyev was appointed to the post.
Nurtilek Urozboyev was dismissed as mayor of Kara-Kul, while Odilbek Tojimirzayev was appointed as the new city mayor.
Oltynbek Jumayev was removed as mayor of Mailuu-Suu, and Olmos Boygoziyev was appointed in his place.
In Batken Region, Bakhtbek Kushaliyev was appointed mayor of Kyzyl-Kiya.
In Naryn Region, Zhaynak Neemat uulu was dismissed as mayor of Naryn, and Yulduzbek Bekkeldiev was appointed as the new mayor.
Earlier, President Japarov said at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh that the Kyrgyz authorities would take tough anti-corruption measures and that he would spare no one in that fight, including relatives.
