Drugs delivered to Surkhandarya from South Korea

In Surkhandarya Region, narcotic substances were discovered hidden inside a shipment of protein powder sent from South Korea. This was reported by the Toshkent-AERO Specialized Customs Complex.

According to the report, a joint rapid operation was conducted by the State Customs Committee’s Toshkent-AERO Specialized Customs Complex and the Surkhandarya Regional Customs Department’s operational units. The operation was carried out in cooperation with officers of the State Security Service, internal affairs bodies, and the National Guard at the “Electronic Commerce” foreign economic activity customs post.

In particular, during an operation conducted in the city of Denov, Surkhandarya Region, a 30-year-old man was detained while receiving a shipment sent to his name from South Korea.

An inspection revealed that the parcel, which was declared in documents as sports nutrition, in fact contained 1,200 capsules of a potent substance mixed with pregabalin.

Pre-investigation checks are currently ongoing in connection with the incident.

It is worth noting that earlier, narcotic substances were found hidden among marble stones in Samarkand.
