Earlier, it was reported that the fight of Uzbek UFC fighter Nursultan Ruzibaev against Russian Renat Fakhretdinov at the UFC 308 tournament was canceled due to the injury of the Uzbek fighter.

It turned out that Ruzibaev sprained his leg before the fight, and his opponent also faced issues with visa documents.

"The main reason why my fight was canceled was because I slightly sprained my leg on September 20. On September 25, the UFC doctor examined me and said that I should not train for two weeks. After that, we took a risk, did not train, and asked the UFC to postpone the fight to November. It became clear that Renat could not come to the fight because his visa was not resolved. His visa documents may be ready by the new year. The fight was canceled not by our fault, but by the UFC's decision," says Ruzibaev.

For information, the UFC 308 tournament will be held on October 26 in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE. In the central fight of the competition, Ilya Topuria from Spain will enter the octagon against the representative of America, Max Holloway.
