Jalolov and Dosmatov's military ranks were raised ahead of schedule

Boxers Hasanboy Dosmatov and Bahadir Jalolov, who won gold medals at the Olympic Games, have been promoted to the military rank of lieutenant colonel ahead of schedule. The National Guard press service reported this.
"With the permission of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Captain Bahadir Isomiddinovich Jalolov and Captain Hasanboy Marufjanovich Dosmatov have been granted the extraordinary military rank of lieutenant colonel ahead of schedule," the statement reads.
The rank was ceremoniously conferred upon them by the commander of the National Guard.
It is worth noting that after boxer Israil Madrimov won the World Boxing Association (WBA) championship belt by technically knocking out Russian boxing champion Magomed Kurbanov at a professional boxing event in Riyadh in March, the Minister of Internal Affairs, Polat Bobojonov, awarded him the military rank of major ahead of schedule.
