The court adjourned the case of Jahangir Ulugmuradov, who was sentenced to three years in prison for sending a prohibited message to a group of ten people on Telegram. Lawyer Abdumalik Abdullayev informed about this.

It is noted that yesterday, on July 14, a session of the court of appeals in the criminal case against Jahangir Ulugmuradov was held at the criminal trial panel of the Tashkent regional court.

It was reported that the court investigation was completed, and the arguments of both parties were heard. According to procedural rules, the defense was the first to speak, presenting their appeal. Following that, the prosecutor supporting the state prosecution made a speech.

"Using our right to object to the prosecutor's speech, we successfully argued that the prosecution could not justify its accusations. We believe the defense was able to demonstrate this, as seen from the reaction in the courtroom," said the lawyer.

The court granted Jahangir Ulugmuradov the opportunity to speak and postponed the hearing of his final statement to the next court session.

The next court session is scheduled for July 17 of this year at 14:00. Following that, the court will enter the consultation room to reach a decision.

We would like to remind you that according to the judgment of the Akkurgan District Court on Criminal Cases dated May 8, 2023, Jahangir Ulugmuradov was charged with Article 244-1 of the Criminal Code (preparation, storage of materials that threaten public safety and public order, distribution, or demonstration) with the use of Article 57 of the Criminal Code (imposition of a lighter punishment) with paragraph 3, paragraph "g," resulting in a three-year prison sentence.
