Zelensky imposes sanctions on 3 Uzbek companies

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has imposed sanctions on several foreign companies, including those from Uzbekistan, Iran, and China. The sanctions were formalized under Presidential Decree No. 301/2025, signed by the Head of State.
According to official reports, the sanctions target a total of 58 individuals and 74 legal entities, 67 of whom are connected to military technology and defense-related activities. Among the sanctioned entities are three companies registered in Uzbekistan, as well as one company each from Iran and China.
The Uzbek companies listed under the new sanctions are:
- “Fergana Chemical Plant” LLC (Fergana)
- “Raw Materials Cellulose” LLC (Jizzakh)
- “Mercury Renaissance” JV LLC (Tashkent)
Additionally, Uzbek national Rustam Muminov has also been added to the list of sanctioned individuals.
The sanctions include a range of economic and legal restrictions, such as:
- Full suspension of trade operations;
- Restriction or complete ban on the transit of resources, flights, and transport through Ukrainian territory;
- Prohibition on the export of capital abroad;
- Suspension of all economic and financial obligations;
- Ban on the transfer of technologies and intellectual property rights;
- Cancellation of entry visas to Ukraine, along with other limitations.
The sanctions are part of Ukraine's ongoing efforts to counter foreign support for Russia’s military capabilities and related activities.
