«Our success is obvious»-Erdoğan states that Uzbekistan and Turkey will cooperate in the field of defense

Uzbekistan and Turkey have agreed to cooperate in the defense sector. This was stated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at a press conference after the negotiations.

Erdoğan said that tourism between the two countries is developing, and in 2021, Turkey hosted over 270,000 Uzbekistan citizens. The Turkish leader also added that the defense industry has great potential.

«Another area with great potential is, of course, the defense industry. In fact, today we have signed agreements in the defense area, and together with these signatures, we are ready to share our capabilities in the defense sector with you. Turkey’s achievements in this field are evident » - President Erdoğan said.

He also noted the agreements on further development of cooperation on a wide range of issues, from transport to energy, from health to education and culture.
“In particular, my brother and I attach great importance to the establishment of the Turkish-Uzbek University. In fact, we have given instructions to the relevant officials. Tomorrow they will see the university building, and we will act quickly», –Erdoğan said at a press conference.
